I love to think about the days when my mother and father would say things like..”I’m the parent that’s why”  “If you’re really hungery you will eat it”…”they can take everything away from you but no one can take away your education”…”Your eyes must be bigger than your stomach” Yep I grew up  hearing these things but not always knowing the underlining meaning. The last one about your eyes being bigger than someone’s stomach I thought I did know what that meant. I thought it meant I put too much food on my plate and I wasn’t prepared to eat it all. Well on one level that is what it means but it also could mean I put too many “things” in my life that I’m not prepared to give them all the attention that each of them deserve. But maybe a little simpler interpetation is that I bought too many groceries last week and now I have to clean out the refrigerator to get rid of the products I didn’t use.. I wasted money, refrigerator space and gave those grocers  the false sense  of demand. Now that I am a little wiser I need to ” Have what I want but want-(or use) what  I got”.
