If you are Jewish or Christian then you probably believe in the Genesis creation story.  Whether you believe it to be literal of figurative, it sends a strong message about God’s menu for humans (and animals, too).  I think the scripture speaks for itself.

Genesis 1:29-30

Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it.  They will be yours for food. 

And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground–everything that has the breath of life in it–I give every green plant for food.”  And it was so.

Today begins World Go Vegan Week.  What a great week to return to God’s menu! 

Like all addictions, animal based products have had a strong hold on humans for a long time.  Today may we be free of all addictions and enter into the abundance of health that is rightfully ours.  Although perfect health is our birthright, we are given a choice and getting back to God’s menu is a critical choice for good health.
